Dr. Betita studied at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry’s accelerated dental program in San Francisco. After obtaining a doctorate of dental surgery, he immediately entered medical school with advanced standing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He earned a medical degree and remained in San Antonio to complete his oral and maxillofacial residency. During this time, he was trained in a world-class program in general surgery, anesthesiology, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, and surgical oncology. He also received extensive training in facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, TMJ surgery, as well as major bone grafting procedures, and dental implant placement for full-arch restorations.
Dr. Betita’s main areas of focus in the practice are extractions, bone grafting, and placement of dental implants. He is also a specialist for both conservative and surgical TMJ treatment. In the local hospitals, he performs surgeries for patients with traumatic injuries.
